Our supporters & runners were fantastic at the Inflatable 5k Run on Saturday 22nd June 2019 at the County Showgrounds!

About Us

Friends of St Luke's School (FoSLs) is a group of parents, carers and friends of the school wanting to work together to help improve the resources of the school, share experiences and support each other.

We're currently looking to raise funds for play and sensory equipment for the pupils of St Luke's.

Please let us know if you're interested in joining us or helping us to raise funds and awareness of St Luke's School. We'd be delighted to have you on board!

Upcoming PTA Events - Transition Day, Summer BBQ & Fete

On Thursday 11th July, children will go to their new class whilst parent/carers are informed about our school calendar, uniform, trips, assessment and communication channels parents can use throughout the school year. Other information and support is also provided.

PTA members are invited to talk to new parents, share advice, socialise and help with refreshments. Members can also help new parents sign up to the PTA.

Once the school day has finished, there will be a Summer BBQ & Fete event afterwards. A great chance to meet other parents/carers and socialise!

Upcoming Fundraising Events - Family Camp Out

We're hosting a truly unique event to mark the federation of Collett and St Luke's!

The Family Camp Out will take place on Friday 19th July at St Luke's School and is open to pupils and parents/carers from both schools.

There will be activities and food throughout the evening, and families are welcome to pitch up and stay for the night!

Upcoming PTA Events - Quiz Night

The perfect way for new parents to meet current St Luke's parents!

Due to take place on Friday 27th September, this music themed Quiz Night will be a great evening for all!

The event will start at 7.30pm at St Luke's School. Please bring your own drinks. Tickets £10 - including a fish and chip supper - and are available at reception.

100% of profits will go toward buying class resources!

Upcoming PTA Events - Halloween Activities

Our annual Halloween Activities event always goes down a treat with our pupils!

The PTA will help to organise and run this fantastic event, due to take place in October. Details TBC.

Upcoming Fundraising Events - Firewalk

Are you up to the challenge?

Walk on hot coals and raise money for our wonderful school!
Join us on Friday 18th October for a truly once in a lifetime experience - it's guaranteed to be a fantastic night.

To take part, you will need to pay a booking fee of £25 and commit to raising a further £100 in sponsorship. Refreshments and training will be provided.

Upcoming Fundraising Events - Online Auction

This year, our Online Auction will split all funds raised between both schools in our federation!

Our generous supporters donate a fantastic range of items to be auctioned off on our very own auction website, which you can visit by clicking here. We receive everything from bungee jump experiences to restaurant meal vouchers - there's something for everyone, and just in time for Christmas!

Get bidding when the auction opens on Friday 1st November.

Upcoming PTA Events - Christmas Fayre & Nativity

Our Christmas Fayre & Nativity is one of the biggest events of the year for our pupils - a chance for them to run stalls, act in front of an audience and show off their school to their families.

Lots of hot drinks, hot food and fun activities - it's guaranteed to be a magical day!

Our PTA help to organise and run this event, which will take place in December.

Upcoming PTA Events - Christmas Disco

Our Christmas Disco is set to raise the roof! Our new silent disco equipment is going to be a hit with our pupils and staff. The PTA will help to organise, decorate and provide refreshments.

This event will take place in December. Details TBC.

Upcoming Fundraising Events - Barn Dance

The fundraising team will be hosting a Barn Dance to support both our schools!

This event will split funds raised between both Collett and St Luke's. We are aiming to host this event in May 2020.

Fundraising Projects

The following list details the projects that the fundraising team are currently working on for St Luke's School as of September 2018.

Create Appropriate Toilets for Pupils
Renovation of current toilets on premises.
Estimated cost: £250,000

Creation of Lower School Playground
Resurfacing, fencing, playground equipment, shelter areas etc.
Estimated cost: £30,000

Sports Hall Acoustic Improvements
Estimated cost: £2,000

Displaced parking in the reclamation of the Lower School playground - new parking area on the front field. Additional parking on the opposite side to current parking.

Building Lower School Classrooms
Three classrooms, one office, one toilet area, one sensory room, storage, entrance lobby.
Estimated cost: TBC

New laptops for pupils and staff. New server. Additional licences and IT programmes.
Estimated cost: £22,000

Safeguarding Technology
Including walkie-talkies for every calssroom, lockdown alarms, blinds for lockdown procedures and fire alarm beacons.
Estimated cost: £20,000

Renovate School Hall
New projector on the back wall, plaster and paint for walls, new curtains for the stage, replacement of flooring.
Estimated cost: £15,000

Carpet Replacement
New vinyl wood effect flooring (antibacterial and cleanable) in 14 classrooms and hallways.
Estimated cost: £55,000

Refit current room, new furniture, IT and books.
Estimated cost: TBC

Renovate Corridors
Estimated cost: TBC

New Lighting

Front Entrance Creation
New sound-proofed meeting room, hot desking areas and new safeguarding gates and entry.
