PE and sport premium for primary schools
The PE and sport premium is designed to help schools with primary aged pupils to improve the quality of the PE and sport activities they offer their pupils.

What is the PE & Sport Funding?
The Government is providing funding of £150 million per annum for primary school sport funding. This funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport and will see money going directly to primary school headteachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children.

Purpose of the funding
Schools will have to spend the sport funding on improving their provision of PE and sport, but they will have the freedom to choose how they do this. We have use the funding for the introduction of Rebound Therapy:

What is Rebound Therapy?
Briefly, it is the phrase that describes the specific ‘Eddy Anderson model’ of trampoline therapy: exercise therapy which uses trampolines to provide opportunities for movement, therapeutic exercise and recreation for people across the whole spectrum of special needs.

St Luke’s sport premium for the last financial year was £6799.00

We used our allocated funding to introduce Rebound Therapy into:

£3,600 to purchase a new trampoline to introduce Rebound Therapy.
£500 to purchase Trampoline Steps.

£1850 was also used funding to refurbish our old trampoline including replacement of the bed and springs and buy coverall frame pads.

£850 to train 2 members of staff in Rebound therapy (travel, accommodation & course costs).
